​The Kingdom of Elyria is poisoned with an undying sickness; the Blight creeps like a living curse, strangling the breath from forests and flesh alike, its hunger knowing no mercy, its advance no end. For generations, the Lockharts believed their forest stronghold was safe. They were wrong. When the Blight emerges within their borders, it unleashes horrors born of vine, hatred, and ancient darkness. People are slaughtered, and the artifact, long believed invincible, is overpowered.

Desperation forces each of the Lockharts to turn to old enemies and forgotten powers in search of aid and truth to face their fears. When survival becomes the only law, each is forced into a role that could cost them everything:
